Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY: Assist the VP of Global Merchandising in pulling together a line for all wholesale accounts. These duties include corresponding with wholesale accounts, and meeting with the Global Sourcing Team to pass off styles and fabrications ensuring that all information passed externally to accounts, or internally to departments is clearly stated & meeting DXLG quality.


  • Assist in managing seasonal calendars, product development cycle and production deadlines. 
  • Liaise between Sourcing Directors/Managers and Merchants with line expectations & requirements. 
  • Participate in Merchant and Sourcing meetings to understand margin expectations.
  • Participate in weekly fittings to understand DXLG's fit and quality requirements. 
  • Support by creating styles in PLM, pulling line sheets, organizing samples, trims, projected placements, size ratios and other related costing components to vendors. 
  • Trim approvals (including buttons, zippers).
  • Request and monitor AD samples to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Review & Process size scales with Global Sourcing Project Manager, ensuring that vendor confirms buy & delivery date.
  • Monitor weekly wholesale meeting, by bringing samples or necessary charts to be reviewed and approved. 
  • Work with Quality and Compliance team to trouble-shoot production/quality/factory issues.
  • Other projects as needed.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Global Sourcing Directors & Managers, Product Development Directors & Managers, Technical Design Directors & Managers


  • BSBA degree in Business, Fashion or related experience.
  • Minimum 1-2 year's experience in buying/merchandising in retail or manufacturing organization.
  • Knowledge of fabrics, dying/printing processes and garment construction.


  • Proven computer skills , Microsoft Word, Excel, Product Life Management system (P.L.M.)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to effectively communicate on an International level.


  • Work is performed in an office environment.
  • Sitting/Standing for 90% of the time.
  • Ability to use computer keyboard, monitor and other office equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
