GENERAL SUMMARY: DXL is embarking on a digital transformation journey to deliver an elevated consumer experience, both online and in our stores. In support of our strategic agenda, we are looking for digital talent to help lead our team. This is a great opportunity for anyone excited to be on the ground floor of digital innovation aimed at driving business growth and transforming the consumer experience. The primary responsibility of the Manager of Site Merchandising is to develop online merchandising strategies and execution of those strategies while partnering with cross-functional teams to maximize the customer experience.



  • Execute merchandising strategies for site editorial content, new navigation, assortment layout and general website merchandising, to enhance upcoming assortments and expose trends
  • Strategize methods for increasing product relevancy, developing new opportunities, and ensuring consistency within the on-site search platform
  • Partner with Buyers and Planning to develop business driving opportunities and ensure optimal product placement
  • Translate in-store strategies into the online experience, ensuring an Omni-channel approach
  • Optimize category navigation structure through analysis and upcoming product assortments
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to suggest and implement site enhancements
  • Understand competitive landscape and make recommendations to improve business


  • Identifies and establishes department-, category-, or campaign-level key performance indicators (KPIs), benchmarks, and forecasts; partners with digital analytics
  • Utilize website analytics to manage product category structure and navigation
  • Leverage website analytics to improve the overall customer experience and conversion metrics
  • Utilize site metrics to strategize and develop landing page best practices for messaging imagery and linking
  • Develop strategies for future special projects based on past performance reporting and enhanced capabilities


  • Responsible for writing creative briefs for upcoming marketing exposures and owning all rounds of edits
  • Partner with Creative to develop campaign planning strategies for all Marketing assets; Provides direction to creative team where necessary
  • Develop new strategies to enhance brief messaging and drive the customer to click
  • Review final assets to ensure accuracy of imagery, messaging, and linking


  • 3-5 year's experience in Site Merchandising, Site Experience or Product Management
  • Previous website merchandising experience preferred


  • Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, vendors and cross-functional partners
  • Experience with ecommerce CMS and Search Tools
  • Strong business analytics skills, preferably experience with Google Analytics
  • A passion for website experience and visual aesthetic
  • Entrepreneurial, out-of-the-box thinker who is intellectually curious with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, be decisive under ambiguity, and meet tight deadlines
  • Dynamic Action Analytics experience a plus
