GENERAL SUMMARY: As a Site Content Specialist, you are responsible for creating a best in class customer experience through effective site merchandising strategies tailored to the DXL.com customer. You will be directly responsible for optimizing the site experience for taxonomy, product listing and search by leveraging analytics, comp research and industry best practices. You will also play a critical role in the driving the creation of the seasonal product asset catalog. Creativity and agility will be paramount as you identify retail trends, synthesize information from multiple touch points and create business solutions in a fast-paced, multi-dimensional environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Applies knowledge of customer behaviors and decision making and contributes to the development of the strategy for site features and functionality
  • Oversees evaluation of customer reviews, analyzes trends and patterns, and provides insights regarding buyer group preferences to optimize customer experience and drive category performance.
  • Leads the analysis of patterns and recommends modification of site features to fit the needs of the customer.
  • Oversees the visual merchandising presentation to best respond to customer demand and convert visits into sales
  • Directs the display of and approves product attributes, images and content, and ensures proper taxonomy and attribution. Understands market best practices for visual merchandise displays and builds plans to reflect first class presentation of products within categories.
  • Reviews reports of site traffic and patterns and performs insightful analytics to determine areas for optimization to drive conversion rates. Participates in analyzing category performance and advises on where changes to visual presentation may enhance sales conversion rates.
  • Identifies potential enhancements or changes based on knowledge of the category, industry trends and customer behaviors
  • Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in Site Merchandising and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans
  • Identifies and establishes department-, category-, or campaign-level key performance indicators (KPIs), benchmarks, and forecasts; partners with digital analytics
  • Provides direction to creative team where necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable field
  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a specialty retail environment or relevant job experience
  • Strong understanding of merchandising procedures and retail accounting

SKILLS:

  • Ability to execute independently with minimal direction
  • Ability to succeed in fast paced environment
  • Ability to partner well cross functionally and build strong relationships
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel required; knowledge of centralized merchandising systems required
  • Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required and attention to detail
  • Good sense of fashion direction
