Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY: Position is responsible for reconciling 2.4-2.5M transactions valued at $330-350M in credit cards sales including on-line and store sales. Works independently and initiates investigations and corrective action when suspicious activity is identified.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Autonomously manages credit card receipts daily, weekly and monthly in reconciliation software tool
  • Ensures payments are accurate and timely according to documented Sarbannes-Oxley controls
  • Is empowered to take corrective action by partnering with credit card processor, software company, or internal sources as necessary
  • Post all credit card fees, chargebacks and adjusting entries
  • Provides analytical data to identify and explain credit card fee budget variances on a monthly basis
  • Oversees processing of customer adjustments and monthly reconciliations
  • Independently makes decisions as required to meet unique customer service issues
  • Is the lead liaison with credit card processor and payment vendors
  • Governs credit card chargeback process and is directly responsible for minimizing write-off losses
  • Disseminates information and summarizes for internal and external financial reporting
  • Formulates budget and provides detailed analysis to explain favorable and unfavorable balances
  • Identifies and publishes updated policy and best practices with store management and field personnel
  • Partners with Loss Prevention team as needed with store fraudulent activity
  • Provides internal and external auditors all necessary information to meet Company and SOX requirements
  • Team member in evaluation of Revenue control processing suggesting improvements in efficiency and minimizing risk.
  • Complete special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of reconciliation experience
  • Experience with Lawson, Order Management Systems and Chesapeake or similar reconciliation systems.

SKILLS:

  • Strong PC skills: Excel and Word required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with various levels of the organization and be a team player.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
